Yoga: Release & Recharge: Chloe Dunagan

You’ve been movin’ and groovin’ all day. This is your time to chill, come back to your breath, slow down the frenetic pace of modern living, and tune into what you need most. Creating a sense of support for the body is at the heart of this practice. Bolsters, blankets, blocks, and balls are used to offload the joints, relax the muscles and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Class will begin with a slow & intentional flow practice to move energy & open the body gently, emphasizing peace and calm in body and mind. Then relax deeply with a yummy restorative finish to release deeper connective tissue, like ligaments, tendons and fascia, resulting in increased mobility, lessened pain, a greater sense of relaxation, and a nervous system realignment. If you have a busy mind and moving slowly is a challenge for you, these classes may be challenging for you. But, this is one of the main reasons we practice yoga. We all need to find moments to slow down and experience some calm in our lives. These classes provide that opportunity. Mindfully placed on Thursday evening, this class helps you step away from the week and gives you the space to recharge your batteries as you head into the week’s end. Well-suited for those with stress, anxiety, trouble sleeping or anyone who simply wishes to slow down, tune in and explore.
