Meditation & Relaxation
February 26 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm MST
An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until May 1, 2020
Meditation can be useful in reducing stress. It can encourage creativity, health, healing, and peace of mind. Meditation is a resource that has been used for hundreds and thousands of years by many cultures. In this weekly class, we will learn various meditation and relaxation techniques. Each session will include an introduction to a meditation practice, readings, one or two periods of meditation, and dialogue. This class is for beginners as well as experienced practitioners who wish to re-establish a regular practice in a fun group atmosphere. The class will be supplemented with written material, exercises, and reflections for bringing a practice into your daily life. Bolsters, blankets and chairs will be provided, or you may bring your own cushion.
Explore a quieter side of the physical practice of yoga….deep yet passive stretching meet supported poses to calm the nervous system. Leave feeling relaxed and ready for the week ahead. All levels welcome.
